Sheila Caughman

Sheila K Caughman

President

Sheila received her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of South Carolina.  Her 20-year career started in media arts and evolved into furniture importing and real estate development and design.  Her heart is grounded in faith and family, and her greatest life achievement is raising 3 wonderful daughters.  Sheila brings her leadership and design acumen to Jams & Stark’s high-impact projects in Columbia.

Alex English

Director of Business Development

A Columbia native, Alex has devoted his life to pouring back into the Columbia’s Metro Area. Alex holds an English degree from the University of South Carolina. As a creator, innovator, and entrepreneur, Alex brings 30 years of experience in real estate and business development. Along with real estate, he and his wife Vanessa were the owners of Wendy’s franchises and presently European skin clinics. Alex is a visionary in being one of the first twenty hemp farmers in South Carolina and starting GreenSmart Botanicals. As a retired NBA Hall of Famer and NBA ambassador, he dedicates his time on the WNBA Board of Advocates, Family Promise board, and the University of South Carolina’s board of trustees. Alex serves as lead recruiter for business development over Colite City.

Richard R. (Dick) Butcher

Director of Finance and Operations

Dick grew up near Aiken, South Carolina. Holding a BS in management and MBA from University of South Carolina, he has spent most of his career in the Columbia area as CFO and COO level with an interest in continuous improvement and innovation. His responsibilities covered all functional areas of operational, financial and administrative management.

In addition to his career in the manufacturing and technology sector businesses, Dick has worked on numerous startups along with the South Carolina Research Authority and others.
Dick taught accounting at the College of Charleston, and was a Certificate of Merit Award Winner (writing) for the Institute of Management Accountants.

A father of five and grandfather of twelve, Dick has deep roots and interest in the growth and development of Metro Columbia, South Carolina. Dick oversees accounting and financial activities for Colite City.

Wade Caughman

Director of Development

A Columbia native and hands-on developer from start to finish, Wade has pioneered real estate synergy in Metro Columbia. With over 25 years of development experience, Wade has utilized his skillset to transform the lifestyle of Columbia inhabitants. Wade holds an AA degree in marketing from Anderson College and attended the University of South Carolina. He gained invaluable knowledge and appreciation of design and architecture working and living in Manhattan, NY, Miami, FL, Cologne, Germany, Milan, Italy, and Athens Greece. After 30 years and counting of marriage and many challenges in life, he credits his wife and three daughters for their support and wisdom. Wade specializes in urban development and new territories; his visionary mindset continues to reshape and transform the Columbia market today. Wade has over $85.0M in hands-on development, handling marketing and leasing at 100%capacity on past projects. Hands-on experience also includes working from the ground up with Geo Tech, Structural Engineers, and environmental and historical tax credits. He sees what the Metro Columbia area has to offer; not what it is missing. Wade serves as the lead developer over Colite City.

Todd Daugherty

Assoc: AIA Architectural Designer

Todd is a 10-year Marine Veteran and founder of Studio HTL. He brings his unique vision from spending most of his life in San Diego California and absorbing the architectural landscape of the region. He has experience working in the architecture and planning industry. Todd’s skillset includes Revit, Sustainable Design, and Sketching. Todd is a leader in business development and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (Barch) focused on Architecture from NewSchool of Architecture & Design.

Audrey Horne

Director of Interior Design with Studio HTL.

Audrey is an experienced professional interior designer with Studio HTL and has a passion for bringing the most value out of living space while staying within budget. Audrey is originally from Shanghai, China. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at Auburn University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing at the University of South Carolina. As a designer, Audrey seeks inspiration from nature, historical buildings, and human creation to form her design style. She uses natural hues with texture along with natural organic elements to create simple, chic, clean, and meaningful spaces, and emphasizing minute details. She is currently an NEWH member and planning to become a LEED AP and NCIDQ certified designer in the near future.

Brianna Etheridge

Artist and Designer

Fashion designer, Brianna Etheridge, was born and raised in West Columbia, SC She attended and worked at schools in Lexington District 2 One of Brianna’s passions is sewing and designing clothes She attended and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Brianna worked on various clothing projects, including working on her clothing line which she started in 2018 Brianna started Bri L Designs as an activewear line because of her love for working out and living a healthy lifestyle Brianna’s passion for Metro Columbia and design talent will help serve Colite City’s inspiration for design and help develop youth programs within the Colite City campus.

Cait Maloney

Creative Designer and Illustrator

Cait owns Cait Maloney Creative and is a published illustrator, award-winning graphic designer, and experienced exhibition artist. In 2008 she earned her bachelor’s degree with a focus in illustration from Syracuse University She has worked nationally and internationally with clients like Abita Brewing Company, Diesel Fragrance, the YMCA, TD Bank, and PGA Junior League Golf and locally with clients like the Central Midlands Council of Government, The City of Columbia, Charleston County, and the South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association Cait serves on the board of the Columbia Design League, an affiliate of the Columbia Museum of Art Her mural, “Lady Vista,” was commissioned by the Congaree Vista Guild and is located on the east wall of 916 Gervais Street in downtown Columbia, SC

Alfredo Ruiz

Show Maker

Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, Alfredo has deep experience in designing and building art displays and creatively reshaping spaces for events and gatherings. As a show maker at Colite City, Alfredo will utilize his skill set and his passion for connectivity within the Metro Columbia region His unique vision will be used to bring community-focused events and activities to life at Colite City Alfredo will help design and plan the layout for gatherings, festivals, holiday events, and local projects at Colite City.

Lin Wang

International Business Development

Lin Wang is an MBA graduate from Simon Business School in Rochester, NY Lin has over a decade of experience in purchasing, marketing, and corporate planning He focused his work on international education before moving to Columbia, SC He recruited a significant number of international students to the University of South Carolina via extensive cooperation with academic partners around the world Lin is involved in multiple non-profitable organizations, including Chinese Association of Columbia, International Festival Committee of Columbia, and Asian American Advancing Leadership He helps these NGOs build strategic partners and oversees their event management He is also on the advisory committee of South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs Lin’s cultivated passion for Metro Columbia and expertise in international support and recruiting will help spur diversity and innovation at Colite City.

Erin Curtis

Facility Special Projects

Erin is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s in Media Arts. Erin served for two years in the United States Peace Corps. Erin is a media production and operations specialist with experience in the public and private sectors. Curtis recently, produced and directed live broadcast programming to foreign audiences and embassies abroad as the Studio Manager for the Bureau of International Information Programs at the U.S. Department of State. She moved into a new role as a Program Manager for TechCamps. Currently, Erin is the Operations Director for Soda City, an events company located in downtown Columbia . Soda City seeks to bring innovative and creative experiences to the Columbia area.

Anticipated Director holds a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Has earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation and is on -track to earn her Certified Venue Professional designation. She has deep knowledge of facility, property, and events management having directly been involved in planning, budgeting, setup, marketing, and fundraising. Has 15 years of experience in metropolitan convention services and planning. The future director’s expertise is in leading companies in strategic oversight and support for business attraction, retention, and growth. We look forward to her arrival.
